Who we are

Kivo is a web design and software studio based in Chester, Cheshire. For UK GDPR purposes Kivo is the "data controller" for information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@kivo.uk.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site. Depending on which form you use, that is:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your business name and website address, if you give them
• Anything you write in the message box

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies for tracking. This site loads no fonts, scripts or images from third parties, so no other company sees your visit.

Why we have it

To reply to you, to quote the work you asked about, and to carry out any work you go on to instruct. If you subscribe to the newsletter, to send you occasional studio updates.

The lawful basis is your consent when you subscribe, and legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you sent us — for everything else. Once you become a client, it is performance of our contract with you.

Who else sees it

Nobody we do not need. Enquiries are handled by email, so our email provider processes them. If we use a form-handling service to deliver enquiries, that service processes the message on our behalf. We do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing, ever.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the last piece of work, which is the period UK tax law requires. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it — and you can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email hello@kivo.uk and we will action it within one month, free of charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Your browser may store a preference or two locally on your own device, but that never reaches us.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page.
